On Wednesday, I said goodbye to Dad's dad and mom (aka Frank and Sylvia) for real. I am happy to report that both the grandparents and the Jubelale arrived intact in Pittsfield, Mass. I shall miss Grandpa Frank holding me for hours and taking me for stroller rides each day, and I wish Granny Syl well with her sudoku puzzles.On Thursday, Mom took Dad and me to see Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the supermarket. Mr. Claus had an artificial white beard and a genuine big red nose; Mrs. Claus wore very strange eyeglasses. Lots of styles are cyclical, Dad explained, but we won't be seeing the likes of those again. Although Jimi Hendrix (the greatest lefty of all time, Dad said) was wrong about surf music.
