Wearing of the (Celtics) Green
I made sure to wear green today because the Celtics are playing in Game 5 of the first round of the playoffs tonight.
Mom fed me peach gruel for dinner, which is sweeter than peas; though I like peas too.
Dad let me listen to Rilo Kiley on the way home from day care this afternoon - Jenny Lewis sings a little too high for us guys to sing along with.

For Kicks
Mom keeps telling me I can go swimming some time, but not while I still have a cold. Meantime, she let's me practice on the carpet.
Rolling Along
Dad said this is an homage to Eisenstein; Mom said it reminded her of someone's old 8-mm family movie. You decide.

A Stroll in the Park with Mom and Dad
Today I went for a stroll in Laurelhurst Park with Mom and Dad. We saw ducks sleeping and dogs running amok. Good for the dogs and the ducks! I am drooling a lot because I am teething. It's a really nice sunny day here.
Dad just told me our Patriots picked Jerod Mayo with their first round pick - great name, anyway! And they do need a linebacker, for sure.

Bath Time
I like a good bath; it gives me time to catch up on my reading.
Dad read to me today from Fear of Physics by Lawrence Krauss, about how it can be useful and interesting to think about a cow as if it were a round balloon (what Dad calls a sphere).
We are all sick again. I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow, not because I'm sick; but because I'm having more vaccines (ouch!).
This weekend I ate bananas.

Sweet Potatoes
They've been feeding me sweet potato mush - it's orange and really good. Mom says this weekend I'm going to get bananas and pears.
And next week Dad said he's going to take me to the Ringside for steak, onion rings, salad, and a shrimp cocktail.

More Photos from the Beach Trip
Cracking Up
Mom just cracks me up.
You probably want to turn your speakers on, unless you're a big fan of Buster Keaton movies, like Dad is.

I Want Some More
I've now eaten my first solid food. I don't know why they call it solid because it was a yummy gruel of milk and rice cereal. Mom and Dad were impressed with the relish with which I scarfed it down. And since then I have been rolling all over the floor to the extent that Dad is thinking of letting me roll away to join Cirque du Soleil.

Beachcomber
I had never been to the beach before. Dad said I looked like a future indie rocker in my hat. Mom introduced me to the sound of the surf. I took in some sun with my friend Emilie.
Dad walked me around the beach for two hours in the afternoon in the ERGObaby carrier while I slept. Which was nice since I hadn't slept at all the night before. Dad said we were walking to California, the land of milk and honey, and we'd live off the fat of the land, just you and me kid. When I awoke, though, we were still in Oregon.
Happy Belated 6-Month B-Day to Me
For my six-month birthday, Mom and Dad took me to the beach to stay with my friends Emilie, Wade, Jenny, Andrea, and Jerry. Wade and Jenny gave me this fancy-pants contraption that spins and whirls and even has a globe that lights up. I had never been in this joint before, so the first night I cried all night instead of sleeping. Mom kept me in good spirits through the night, though.

Snoozin' Through Dinner
Sometimes watching Mom and Dad eat dinner makes me sleepy; and tonight I crashed. They promise me that this weekend they will let me try mushy rice cereal, which should perk me up. Earlier, Dad took me for a walk in my stroller in the hail and rain; we went to the duck pond and saw lots of ducks, but, sad to say, no killer nutria rats.
This weekend we are going to the Oregon coast. I am fascinated by the possibility of sneaker waves. Dad says that once Mom and Dad's parents were almost sucked out to sea by a sneaker wave while Mom was taking their photograph; and she lost the camera in the water, though everyone survived. Good thing, that. Dad said he will read to me from the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary by campfire.
